Yep, and then turtles when it’s time to answer for it.

I'm fine with Kronwall coming back for one final season if, and only if, it means I'll also be seeing a lot of Daley and/or Ericsson in Grand Rapids this year. It is really well past time for these old, washed up, borderline-NHLer-at-best veteran defenders to get out of the freaking way.

It's been pretty obvious for a while now that Kronwall can't keep up anymore. I think if the Wings hadn't been so thin on the blueline, or if he weren't such a respected leader on the team / one of the last links to when the team was actually good, there's a good chance he would have washed out of the league 2-3 years ago. The Red Wings bleed chances when he's on the ice, and he is no longer even an average offensive producer at even strength (or the PP for that matter, though he keeps getting opportunities there because either Blashill can't tell he sucks or because it's where he's least likely to hurt the team when he's on the ice.)

Kronwall isn't a guy that consistently fails the "eye test" because he's still a relatively smart player. He doesn't tend to make a ton of really obvious mistakes, bad passes, or get caught way out of position. He just gets constantly beaten by faster, stronger, better players. His main skill at this point is somehow managing to not look completely terrible while getting dunked on again and again and again.
